Gabriel's in Muenster

We were guests at the Hotel Kaiserhof and had therefore reserved a table at Gabriel's for the day of arrival. The other days we ate in the Villa Medici and in the Chesa Rössli. Gabriel's was a positive surprise for me because I was expecting significantly less. We had starters and a main course each, including "Lamb | Bulgur | Dates | Anatto | Zucchini". In addition, bread with Westphalian ham was served. For dinner we had a bottle of 1997 "Brunello di Montalcino 1997 - Vasco Sassetti". I personally could have done without the stomach with the lamb, but all the dishes were very tasty and very well prepared. The staff was very friendly and helpful, never intrusive. If you want to eat well in Münster, you should reserve a table in this restaurant. I also thought the ambience was nice.

Much announced, but below expectations! We - six people - had the menu with three different main courses. In the end, only the beef and pork duo was filling, while the scampi and ravioli left us hungry. All in all, all of the dishes clearly lacked the seasoning, so that the salt and pepper shakers became our best friends. Neither the scampi with lentils nor the ravioli with parmesame foam (?) Found the expected taste. The beef was tender as butter and the cauliflower was firm to the bite. Everyone can judge for themselves whether or not pork should be served medium. We were really annoyed that our red wine was put away after the first pour and we had to wait up to 15 minutes for refills to be poured into the empty glasses. Why not just leave the bottle on the table when the service is overloaded? Well, and that the bread with a dollop of butter - it was probably not more - was completely forgotten at the beginning, did not exactly contribute to the success of the evening. But for the sake of order: As hotel guests, we were granted a discount on the menu price and the parking lot was not charged extra. Sorry, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. One day later in the "Großer Kiepenkerl" we experienced how top service and top quality work!

Enjoyed an excellent meal tonight with an extremely knowledgeable wine accompaniment. With an elegant ambience and always friendly staff from the first to the last minute, a successful end to a wonderful day.

An evening to forget! Our expectations were more than met. The decision to spend the evening in Gabriel’s came spontaneously. The atmosphere makes you forget everyday life and you can fully concentrate on the food. In Mr. Kemper we found the perfect host who presented the dishes and the corresponding wines excellently at the table. Gabriel's experience was a complete success. Thank you

A special evening at Gabriel’s There were four of us in Gabriel’s on January 25th, 2020 and had a really great evening. The ambience, the wine, the food, the staff - everything was right and gave us a great evening. Sure, you don't eat here every day, but treat yourself to something special. Price-performance ratio was absolutely right for us. The January menu was perfectly coordinated and harmonized very well. The portions were also very good - you were well saturated afterwards without feeling too full. We will definitely come back and let us pamper you here.

Very solid, upscale restaurant located at the train station in Münster. The service is very friendly and above all professional. The atmosphere should be a bit more casual. Food and wine convince with every visit.

The Gabriels is one of the best restaurants in Münster. Our 4-course menu was a taste experience. The individual foods are very fresh and of very high quality. The individual dishes were stylish and lovingly prepared. The individual foods skilfully and tastefully combined. You can tell that here are very creative heads on the stove! The portions are relatively small, with a 4-course menu you will be quite full. The staff was very accommodating, attentive and polite. Without being intrusive. All employees made a very competent impression and advised us very well. The ambience is upscale, chic and cozy. The location at the train station is very central, but you do not notice anything. The price-performance ratio is right. I could not afford to eat here daily. But for a special occasion, you can really spoil yourself culinary!

We had a great meal at Gabriel's New Year's Eve. Unfortunately we got a worse day there! A shame!

Delicious goose food

Yesterday we had two wonderful menus at Gabriels: Both the fish and meat menu, as well as the vegetarian menu was great by the bank and of a high standard. After a great greeting of the house with quail, pepper caviar and potato waffle convinced the shrimp terrine with yuzu, leek, potato and Dashibrühe - finely seasoned, the flavor play absolutely round in the foreground. There followed a velvety and light potato soup with a summer truffle shaved on the table. Again, the finely tuned spice in combination with the wonderful aroma of the truffle convinced. As a main course tender roast cooked back and buttery filet of venison was served. Finely seasoned pointed cabbage and Graubündner Capuns (a chard roll filled with spaetzle dough) rounded off the delicious main course. As a small point of criticism here: A little more of the delicious deep-dark and reduced Jus would have ensured a rounder overall picture. The culmination of the menu must clearly be called the dessert: Fluffy Japanese cheese cake meets red shiso and pumpkin sorbet. A wonderful liaison of sweetness, acidity, crunchiness and coolness - exceptionally innovative. Our menu was perfectly supported by a harmonious wine accompaniment. Only wines from Germany caused one or the other positive surprise. Especially the Baden Cuvee for dessert has completely convinced us. Conclusion: An all-round successful enjoyable evening in a harmonious and modern atmosphere, which is reflected in the innovative fusion style of the food. Especially the outstanding service is to be mentioned: Discreet yet relaxed, absolutely professional and always informed about all components of the menu. We were particularly pleased that we were allowed to see our service staff from the former "Westphalian Stuben" in Riesenbeck in Gabriels. At any time again and with a good feeling absolutely to be recommended!
